One day after receiving approval from NFL owners to move to Las Vegas, the Oakland Raiders began accepting a refundable $100 deposit toward PSLs – private seat licenses – for their new $1.9 billion stadium expected to be completed in time for the 2020 season.
“Starting today, Raiders fans can place a refundable $100 deposit to secure their place in history at the Las Vegas Stadium. Visit www.raiders.com/lasvegasstadium for more information,” a release from the team said.
There was no mention how much the PSLs – which are on top of the season-ticket dues and will likely run several thousand dollars a year per seat– will cost.
A site for the new stadium still has not been finalized although a 62-acre lot on Russell Road across the Interstate 15 from the Mandalay Bay Hotel is the reported frontrunner. Construction isn’t expected to begin until the end of the year and will take between 28 to 30 months to complete.
The release ended with the hashtag #theraidersarecoming.
