Three Southern Nevada basketball teams with strong expectations started the fourth annual Legacy Tip Off Classic with convincing victories. Clark opened its season, by topping Churchill County 66-35. Carter Olsen led the Chargers with 18 points.
Eleven different Mojave Rattlers scored, including three in double figures, in the team’s 69-38 victory over Lowry, and Centennial’s starters only played the opening minutes of their game, in a dominant 71-31 win over Robert Bateman (Canada).
Day 2 of the tournament kicks off at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
