The 21st MAACO Bowl Las Vegas will be played on Saturday, Dec. 22, and will kick off at 12:30 p.m.at Sam Boyd Stadium, it was announced today.
That will be good news for fans that have battled chilly nighttime temperatures in recent years.
The contest, which features the top choice from the Mountain West Conference against the fifth pick from the Pac-12 Conference, will be nationally televised by ESPN. It marks the sixth time the game will be played on a Saturday and the first time since 2002 that the contest will be played during the daytime.
“Every year we study possible dates that make the most sense for the fans and teams as well as providing the most economic impact for Las Vegas,” said Tina Kunzer-Murphy, the executive director of the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas said. “With the way the calendar worked out this year, we were excited to get back on a Saturday and also be able to play in the sunshine.”
Tickets for the game will go on sale to public on Monday, June 4. For further information, call 702-732-3912 or log on to the official website: maaacobowllv.com.
