Hauck adds Hundley as LB coach

UNLV coach Bobby Hauck has hired veteran defensive assistant Tim Hundley to be his new linebackers coach.

Hundley spent the previous three seasons as secondary coach at UCLA. He also has 16 years experience as a defensive coordinator at the FBS level, including five at Washington (1999-2003) and six at Oregon State (1984-89) of the Pac-12 Conference.

Hundley replaces Robin Ross who left to become linebackers coach at Wyoming last month.

“I’ve known Tim Hundley for many years and not only has he been a valued colleague of mine but he is also widely known and respected in this profession,” Hauck said. “He brings a wealth of experience to the defensive staff that will help us tremendously.”

Hauck previously coached with Hundley at UCLA, Colorado and Washington.

Hundley and his wife, Pam, have two sons, Jake and Nick. Nick Hundley is a catcher with the San Diego Padres.
