UNLV heads into the final week of Mountain West play with second place and the No. 2 seed for next week’s conference tournament within grasp. And tonight’s 7 p.m. home game with streaking Boise State, which has won four in a row including a 78-65 win over Colorado State on Saturday, figures to be a key game in that regard.
The Broncos (20-8, 8-6 MW), who lead the Mountain West in 3-point shooting percentage (39.2 percent), defeated the Rebels (22-7, 9-5), who rank No. 1 in 3-point shooting percentage defense (28.6 percent), 77-72 in the first meeting on Feb. 2 in Boise, connecting on 8-of-19 treys in the process.
UNLV coach Dave Rice discusses the matchup with the Broncos as well as whether Mike Moser or Anthony Bennett, whose sore left shoulder is improving, will get the starting nod at power forward tonight in the video below.
