One of the top freshman prospects in the nation is playing in the Fab 48 Tournament in Las Vegas this weekend and UNLV fans no doubt will be glad to learn that he has strong ties to the Runnin’ Rebels.
Trevor Stanback, playing for the Pump n Run Elite 2015 team, is the “little” brother of Chace Stanback, a three-time third team all-Mountain West pick for the Rebels.
Chace Stanback, a 6-foot-8 forward, made his mark with his outside shooting, leading the Mountain West from 3-point range in 2012 with a 45.5 percentage.
But Trevor Stanback, who just turned 14 and received his first college scholarship offer in June from USC, already stands 6-foot-10 and says that he has been told by doctors that he will eventually grow to be 7-foot-2.
As the video highlights below show, Trevor Stanback is surprisingly graceful for someone his size and runs the floor extremely well.

Trevor Stanback is already an outstanding shot blocker and good rebounder with soft hands. He reminds me of Tyson Chandler.
Considered one of the top prospects in a Class of 2016 that features a number of top-notch center prospects, Trevor Stanback has been a frequent visitor to the Thomas & Mack Center to watch his older brother play and said UNLV is one of the schools that he is considering.
Check out more about Trevor has to say in the video interview below.
