UNLV coach Tony Sanchez landed a verbal commitment Sunday from one of the state’s top line prospects when Silverado’s Justin Polu picked the Rebels over Colorado State.
The 6-foot-4, 295-pounder was a first team all-state pick and also was rated a three-star prospect (out of five stars) by Rivals.com. He is the second local line prospect to commit to the Rebels joining Melvin Johnson of Canyon Springs.
Polu also had offers from Navy, where his brother Jarvis attends, Idaho and Weber State.
