The Las Vegas 51s snapped a nine-game losing streak to the Sacramento River Cats dating back to last season with a 4-3 victory on Friday night at Cashman Field.
First baseman David Cooper, who won the 2011 Pacific Coast League batting title, bounced a single past River Cats reliever Justin Souza into center field to drive in Travis Snider from second base with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning for the game-winner.
Snider, who also had a two-run homer in the contest, started the game-winning rally with a two-out single to center and moved to second on a walk by catcher Travis d’Arnaud.
